Portfolio
The work section of this site consists of samples from the past 3 years while working at Creative Labs. The majority of the work we do in our department is template based, following the site structure. The work featured here are slightly more creative in nature.
Icons
Creative Icon Set
I have created a variety of icons that are used through out the site and our promotions that represent our products.
Type: Graphics, Icons
Monthly E-mailer
Promotional E-mailer
Seasonally (typically monthly) we send out a email promotion highlighting several offers for our products. The theme is centered around a holiday and includes at least nine products. The graphics needed include all images for the email sent out via subscription, a landing page, front page bottom spotlight, headers for product pages, “chicklets” and various banners for the site directing to the landing page.
Type: HTML, Email, Flash spotlights
Corresponding flash bottom spotlights:
Fall | Christmas ‘06 | Valentine’s | Mother’s Day
My Contribution: Concept and design of mailers shown here. I designed the initial landing page template according direction and another designer did the emailer.
Creative Shop Home Page
Internal Page|Re-Design
After several mock up reviews for our current shop home page, our VP finally took me to a site which will remain unnamed, and said “I want this exact thing”, and tada! we have a new shop home page. All though it does not currently match our current site, it will be tested/tracked and may change the overall look of our shop area.
Type: HTML
My Contribution: Design according to direction. I designed the areas on the side to allow the images to stack independently of each other, to allow future removal and additions as needed.
My Opinion: I believe we could provide a solution for this page and still keep the key elements needed with out “borrowing” from your competitor =).
Creative Site|Re-design
Full Site|Re-Design
A restructuring of our site to implement a global focal point that narrows down specifically to regions before product information is served. It would allow the user to get accurate product information before making a purchasing decision. It would also localize the corporate/support information to minimize bandwidth cost.
Type: Flash,
HTML Site Revision
My Contribution:
I worked on the design concepts for the U.S. site coordinating with another designer who worked on the Global design.
My Opinion:
Our site is in need of a rehaul. It is clunky on the back end, not user friendly and does not conform to any web standards.
Gamestar
Product Overview Pg|Landing page for a bundled product with one of our cameras. It had to have the majority of it’s information above the fold, include information on 10 games, house 4 video demos and a quick start slide-show. I designed the page to bring in the images/videos via xml on the fly and to populate in the same 3 column area. This allowed for the important information to be above the fold and not tax the user’s cpu.
Type: Flash, CSS, XML driven Mini Site
My Contribution:
Concept, design, flash actionscripting and UI.
My Opinion:
One of my favorite projects here at Creative.
Creative Labs Ebay Store
Re-Design The old Ebay store was in a need for a make over. Required elements were the 3 banners, product category images and a scrolling area for highlight items. The requester wanted to switch out ad placement as needed. I designed the site to incorporate a modular design where very few files could change the look of the site. By changing 3 gifs and the 3 banners we are able to totally change the look for the site.
Type: HTML
My Contribution: Concept and design of re-design. Ads have been created over the past two years for specific promotions/seasons.
My Opinion: One of my favorite projects since working here at Creative. It has worked very well for the requester and has been tracked and proven to have increased revenue.
Creative Care Protection
Graphic|Re-Design
The look and feel of the old umbrella used for this plan seemed very outdated to me. I offered to update the look for all areas that it was being implemented. This included color themed “chicklets” according to each product line found on the product pages, the header for the information page and the graph to illustrate the plan itself.
ZEN Micro Campaign
Launch Campaign
Campaign to highlight the then fairly new ZEN product line. This campaign centered around the ZEN Micro’s size capacity, features, colors and appeal to a variety of consumers. The conversion page tied in nicely with the bright colors of the banner ads.
Type: Flash, animated gif banners, HTML
Status: Expired
My Contribution: Design and full concept of campaign including the “your color, your style”
concepting layout graphics color.
My Opinion: One of my favorite pieces. I really enjoyed the playfulness of the campaign
X-Fi Campaign
X-Fi Launch Flash Banners
We placed numerous banners to launch the X-Fi product line on various gaming and technological sites. The banners ranged in size from 100x200 to 160x600 and all but one were flash. I completed over 120 banners for this campaign (twice in fact). After three months we revisited the banners, optimized them and re-designed them based on stats and feedback. The banners seen below are the final result.
Type: Flash Banners
Various flash banners
160x600 | 160x600a | 160x600b | 300x250 | 300x250a | 400x100 | 400x200 | 468x60ad (my favorite) | 728x90
My Contribution: Concept and design based off print advertising, flash. My biggest contribution would be the quote on 468x60 =).
Demonstrations
Flash Demos
Typically our demos are designed in Europe by a former employee Daza who is quite brilliant. On the rare occasion a requester will request something that is not quite a banner advert or a demo but somewhere in between. One of our subsidiaries requests demos for their products as well from time time. These are a few .

Creative Home Page
Bottom Spotlights
The majority of our home page main spotlights are completed at the headquarters in Singapore and modified for our regional needs. From time to time we do them from scratch as well. The bottom spotlight, regional banner and side spotlights are typically done in-house. Our monthly Email Campaign calls for changes to the bottom spotlight on a regular basis. Whereas the side spotlights are rotated from a pool of products and additions are seen when a new product launches.
Type: Spotlights
Status: On-going
My Contribution: Concept and design of spotlights shown.
Extra: Some of the spotlights I have created for the bottom area can be viewed here.
Creative Support
Support Banners
The VP wanted to increase sales by generating interest in our support area by implementing three new banners in the top area. The area is very crowded in this section so the banners had to be designed with this in mind. I created the banners to interchange in each area easily and hopefully made best use of the space.
Type: Banners
My Contribution: Concept and design based on direction.
My Opinion: I believe this section as a whole needs to be revamped.
Accessories Page
Internal Page Creation
After analyzing the data we found our accessories had a bigger ROI than our actual products. To help sell these little goodies we developed a tabbed section that linked off of our Featured Page to an accessories page that allows the user to view accessories by product. Not happy with our normal but yet global “chicklet” style we decided to revise this style for a more simple visual version instead.
Type: HTML
My Contribution:
Concept and design.
Extra:
This design/concept was implemented based off of my monthly website proposal for making improvements to the site.
Creative Banners
Misc Banners
A collection of the banners I have designed over the past few years.
To view a large flash banner campaign click here.
Type: Banners
Various flash banners
ZEN Micro Banner | X-Fi | Father’s Day | Tech Banner | Support Skyscraper
Playdocki
Demo|Landing Page
We are in the process of creating an informative landing page highlighting our Playdocki and it’s features. I have submitted concepting mock ups.
Type: Flash, HTML
Status: In progress
My Contribution:
Concept and design of mockups based off of packaging and project overview.
iGames
Microsite
iGames.org licenses games to gaming centers. We formed a partnership with them to offer to their affiliated gaming centers special discounts on some of our gamer specific products. To receive the offers the gaming centers had to qualify via their tiering system with iGames. Their ips were captured and there was a limit on how many products they could receive.
Type: HTML
Status: Terminated due to ROI.
My Contribution: Created artwork based on initial print design campaign, provided materials for progammer for all pages which included: Home page, information page about the program, sign up form, product pages and various promotional banners.
Collegiate Color Search
Microsite
A great idea for a microsite targeting college students searching for color specific products. The search page would include a flash demo seamlessly integrated into the page as well as cross references for matching accessories. Our ROI on accessories is much higher than our actual products. So we have tried to find ways to push these little plastic/leather goodies.
Type: Flash, Database driven Microsite
Status: On Hold
My Contribution: Concept and design of presentation mockups. Initial navigation and user interface. Brainstorming sessions on UI solutions.
My Opinion: We had some UI issues to work out on the site so as not to confuse the user and still be able to serve them with what we are ultimately wanting them to buy.
Dreamfall
Landing Page
This landing page was to correspond with simple black and white flyers placed inside our partner’s game boxes to highlight a special price only offered to those who purchased the game. The page was built to add logos, flash sidebar and products in such a way that they could be easily swapped out for future offerings with other games and products. This could eliminate production time on such small jobs with rather tight lead times.
Type: Flash, HTML
My Contribution: Concept and design of page. Concept and implementation of structure of page to optimize similar future Landing Pages. Final materials for programmer.
Fill Your ZEN
Landing Page(s)
To highlight the diverse services that are compatible with our players and to promote partnership deals two Landing Pages were created. The first page where the user first lands is a general overview of some of our more prominent partners. The second has a thorough listing of partners via logos. The page was provided to me as is with the exception of the header. I stylized the header and color scheme. The current live version has since changed a few times since this page went live. The link is there but what you will see is not accurate to my initial design.
Type: HTML
My Contribution:Concept and design of header, rounded corners and Fill Your ZEN logo.
My Opinion: I think these pages could be optimized more for their purpose. Unlike some of our competitors our players work with a variety of services and this very marketable message is not translated well in my opinion.
